Clinical Supervision and Private Practice Development

Clinical Supervision

I offer clinical supervision to both new (unlicensed) and established therapists. Although my clinical training and style is insight-oriented in nature, I welcome therapists of all clinical orientations. I offer supervision that is attuned to clinical skill - focusing on in the moment interventions and honing your style, as well as case conceptualization and treatment planning. I utilize insight-oriented techniques, including understanding defenses and working with transference, to better understand your work as a therapist and your treatment of your patients.

Private Practice Mentorship

In graduate school, we rarely if ever receive education training or supervision when it comes to creating a private practice. Many of us are on the “private practice route” but are never given the tools to begin one. It can be a challenging or overwhelming step to take as a therapist. This position is a 15-month contract in which I provide supervision and business consultation, as well as clinical supervision if requested. I help support early career psychologists to create a practice they are proud of, in just the way they would like it to run.  Weekly business consultation meetings cover the ins and outs of creative a private practice, including topics such as fee setting, networking, building a website, filing for a PLLC, finding office space, creating practice paperwork, etc. At the end of the contract, therapists can expect to have a full caseload, built throughout the year, and their own practice ready to launch.
